If the movie "The Tree of Life" can be considered for an Oscar - then this movie should have won an Oscar for each of these categories: Best Picture, Best Actor, Cinematography, Art Direction, and Costume Design. Not for those with delicate constitutions for it is a powerful sensory experience - visually and emotionally. (details to be found at www.perfumemovie.com/)

This is outstanding - what a powerful visual for "seeing" the "unsee-able". Kudos to the artists!

I like the science behind WW - their newer system (what they are calling their PointsPlus) is based on a calculation of fat, carbs, fiber, and protein. The old sytem just counted calories. Their weight-loss program can truly change eating habits. The combination of nutritional and behavioral science makes it a winner! See a recent article on WW in Wired magazine... tinyurl.com/75kaj38

He has been called a "fiercely intelligent postmodern" comedian! This was a good call - Bo is brilliant! I am eagerly awaiting more material from this young man.

Imagine... an Israeli Jew by the name of Jesus, having a nail hammered through his feet. The very feet that Tony provided him with as a punishment for having a sort of schizophrenic discourse with a god who was created by man to explain the existence of feet in the absence of the knowledge of the existence of Tony.

Given the few yet distinctly statistical comments in this video - I played the piece in my inferential statistics course. I have no empirical evidence for my students' enjoyment but... anecdotally they loved it!

Tim Minchin is wickedly brilliant! His artistry is a powerful intellectual experience that often ends with a poignant "middle-finger" punch. Scientists, statisticians, secularists and those of similar minds will not be disappointed. Find an hour (or more) and a large glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and enjoy many of the Tim Minchin video clips available on the Net.
