Cook at any heat and on any heat source. Great heat retention and can be seasoned to be pretty non-stick.
Cons: short handle and heft may make it difficult to maneuver. Some models have a helper loop handle opposite the stubby handle

Agreed! I swear by my old Griswold and recently aquired a brand new Lodge dutch oven. Love it.
