Beautifully preserved and bucolic escape from the city. Love the early music concerts around Christmas and Easter time.
Cons: As everyone else says, it's far out from the city center. You have to take a subway and a bus. But worth it.

My favorite spot in NYC. Wonderful medieval art and hauntingly beautiful and serene surroundings.
Cons: Long bus ride to get there.

Medieval Arts & Gardens. You wont believe you're still in New York. Gorgeous architectures!
Cons: A tad out of the way but worth the trip..

Excellent medieval art collection housed in a building that makes you think you really are in Italy or France. Nice setting overlooking the Hudson. Interesting period concert series.
Cons: A little out of the way.
