"The Newsroom" features what is unmistakably Aaron Sorkin's penmanship, who seemingly effortlessly crafts dialogue that is simultaneously cuttingly intelligent and frequently hilarious. Some have accused its treatment of topical issues to be too heavy handed, but I'll be damned if it doesn't make for riveting viewing. "The Newsroom" does not disappoint.
There is something about this show that is quite enjoyable, though it took me the entire first and nearly half of the second episode to get into. The characters are very clear cut, which allows the show to move forward quickly. I hope that the future episodes are as interesting as these first few.
