I've been mostly recommending artsy and visually beautiful award-winners here lately, but I can assure you that this gem will not let you down. Superheros cooler than ever making ironic jokes about each other, an interesting plot, great effects and sense of drama. This is one of the movies you want to see in the cinema, not back home as a DVD.

Yes, it's over-inflated sugar-coated digital dross. But when something like that has its stories and characters treated with the same kind of respect that Pixar gives its just as artificial sprites thrown up on the screen; you feel for what happens to the characters and the superheroic things they do on screen to save Earth! Starts slow but ends up being the live comicbook king, usurping Superman

Pros: Not just a great comic book movie; also a very good movie on its own. Action, plot, humor, repeat... My man HULK steals the movie
Cons: probably 2 yrs to the next episode.
