Just about the best cyber-punk anime ever made. Ghost in the shell is basically a sci-fi cop show. It also makes a lot more sense than the movies ever do, so don't let the movies put you off this fine series.
Its plots can be a little dense though, so if the first episode or two seem complicated, its ok. Give it at least 4 episodes to see if you like it or not.

How to describe an anime such as this. Don't mock me this is hard to do; as anyone who has watched this series will attest. All I can say is, see for yourself, it has something for everyone and will leave you wanting so much more after its finished.
