Both a parody and homage to the horror genre. Reminds me of the first Scream movie.

You don't see a horror movie like this every year or even decade. Of course, not everyone is guaranteed to like it, but those who do, will like how it plays on the traditional horror with an excellent twist.

If you're into slasher films, The Cabin in the Woods is a great homage to the genre. If not, it's an OK horror movie with humor and a twist.
