This is the most gorgeously written book. Funny and sad and poignant, it's as much of an obsessive page-turner as any suspense novel.

A rather sentimental, tender and funny book about life, love, communication, the nature of hype and modern media but above all the need to get up off the sidelines and do something.

It's a beautifully, lightly-written book with wonderful detail about the English landscape. Harold and Maureen both driven by grief in their own ways, come through their journeys with lessons that can benefit all of us.
