This is my favorite book ever. I've read it around 5 times now. I think that reading the entire series gives you a better appreciation for the characters in this book.

When I read this early in high school, I found that I could relate to many of the internal struggles Ender faces. Since coming back to the book after so long, I find that the themes and ideas Card presents in Ender's Game are just as aplicable now as they were years ago.

One of the best SF books ever. A classic juvenile and yet, at least as satisfying for an adult reader. Fast-moving AND thought-provoking, touching some really deep moral issues.

This is one of my favorite books, and by far my favorite Sci-Fi novel. I was unable to sit this book down for any considerable amount of time.
zchillman recommended this 1 year, 9 months ago
One of the few novels that I've read a 2nd time.
Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game is a captivating tale that dissects the manipulation that the young and exceptional are put through. From being ripped away from his family, the demands of having to excel at all costs, and feeling the desperate weight of everyone's expectations on his shoulders, you'll empathize with Ender for a long while after.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! i read it the summer before my eighth grade year, but have reread it since. I didn't quite understand the ending the first time and the second time, more recently (i am in 9th grade) it really hit home and almost brought me to tears! Although, not too hard for me to do. Orson Scott Card is fabulous, and i would recommend this book to EVERYONE!

One of the greatest Sci-Fi novels of all time. Ender & Bean = my personal heros.
Cons: Appropriate for 15+ only. Not technically a YA book.
anhvu recommended this 3 years, 9 months ago
I totally had a crush on Ender when I was young!
lghtngclp recommended this 3 years, 10 months ago
This book will make you dig deep and contemplate not only yourself, but your relationships with others.
Cons: The movie is pretty much vaporware. Guess you have to get the story the old fashioned way.
fuegodelsol recommended this 3 years, 10 months ago
I remember reading this back in high school and being blown away by the story and the characters. I've re-read it multiple times since. Orson Scott Card is a genius.
Cons: There are three direct sequels, four parallel novels, and one compilation of short stories related to Ender's Game - so be prepared to spend for quite a few books.
