It questions human nature but really enjoyed the movie. I would say it is one of the best alien/ET movies.

Original plot for an alien movie. CGI and effects kept me interested even though excessive explosions and body splatters tended to overshadow the storyline. Some political inferences were aimed to question human nature but remained entertaining.

A film that pokes fun at South Africans apartheid history using science fiction.
Not many films can turn the dislikable antagonist lead character into a likable protagonist. Sharlto Copley character is just brilliant.

I show this in my Film Studies class every semester. It's fascinating how many students tell me that they'll hate it, then afterward have a completely different opinion.

Excellent story telling, a nail biter the whole way. Loaded with social commentary. Can humanity redeem itself after re-instituting apartheid for alien refugees?
Cons: Hand trucked camera in some scenes can give you a bit of vertigo.
