all around good movie. i avoided it for a long time, thinking it was just a sports movie. it's actually a movie about statistics and human stupidity, rather, the inclination for people to "trust their gut". all the soundbites of announcers voicing their stupid opinions were great.

what a great movie! I like Brad Pitt a lot, but it's the story that makes this movie so good for fans of baseball and anyone else who believes that sometimes the system needs to be questioned

This movie surprised me. I naively walked into the theater expecting the run-of-the-mill baseball/inspirational sports story and I was wrong. Moneyball tells the story of how MLB teams have been controlled by money to create ball teams and how one man decides to change the way he creates his team. If you liked like The Social Network then you'll love Moneyball.

What a story. Think different. The mighty lose, the meek win. Geeks inherit the earth. Conventional wisdom is flawed. Escape inertia. Take direction from your heart, refine it with your mind.

Oh, and I don't even follow baseball - but that's fine, 'cause Moneyball is about sports about as much as The Social Network is about programming.

a great sports drama. wish they had followed the players a little more. Brad Pitt delivered and Jonah Hill succeeded in his first dramatic role.

I can relate to this movie on so many levels (from my 20-year appreciation of Bill James to knowing some of the actual people depicted) -- and I love that the book was written, and that such a wonderful movie was made from it.

I didn't read the book and am not a baseball person, but this movie was pretty enjoyable. More emotional than you would expect.

Not a "sports movie". It's about a manager of a sports team and his revolutionary hunch. Good characters and great witty dialogue.

I can’t think of a better way to examine market inefficiencies than nerding out on baseball stats. Loved this book.

It looks like a great movie, but I freakin' hate previews that tell you the entire story. I don't want to know the ups and downs of the plot, why would I go see the movie if I know what is going to happen?
