It started a bit slow but once the main characters met it definitely picked up! Real interesting and great acting.

Fantastic film. Another Fincher's homerun.

Haven't read the books or seen the Swedish versions, but David Fincher's vision has pushed both of these to the front of my queues. That's high praise.
Where Daniel Craig, and Christopher Plummer were good, Rooney Mara put herself on the map for completely succumbing to the role of Lisbeth Salander.
Oh, and if you didn't know: Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are pretty awesome at scoring movies.

the book is just simply amazing, and the movie is actually pretty good. there are a lot of places this movie could have been messed up, but i think they did a really good job. now ofcourse the book is still better but thats the way it is

Is this as good as the original trilogy? We Americans seem to ruin movies by poorly remaking them. In my opinion they should've re-released the original in American theaters.

can I give it 100 stars for the score? Reznor + Ross = perfect

I got chills watching this trailer. This is going to give the Swedish made version a run for it's money. I still prefer Noomi Rapace playing Lisbeth, but Daniel Craig makes a great Mikael. Quiet, tough, understated acting. If you like this trailer you have to see the Swedish version first! (I never read the books, guess I should)

Such a mind blowing storyline, I will see it, but am sure it won't do justice to the book or original Swedish film. If you've yet to read the trilogy of books or see the Swedish films, jump right on it. Edge of your seat amazing...

I am very unhappy that David Fincher felt he could "improve" upon the story by changing the tone of the characters and the ending of the book. This is why I hate when Hollywood takes over literature. For a great example of adaptation, view the Swedish films.

The Millenium trilogy by Stieg Larsson are definitely my favorite books. I was excited to see the films, and they were really good! But as usual the movie is never as good as the book.
And.. I am a little annoyed that they feel the need to do a new version of this (or any idea for a movie that they didn't come up with first) in America. Seriously, is it so bad to watch the original?

Very intense in spots, so it is not for the faint of heart. But the acting is exceptional and the cinematography is very evocative.

Was a HUGE fan of the books (I bought the British version of Hornet's nest because the US version wasn't out yet) and loved the Swedish movies. Really looking forward to Fincher's vision on this.

"Leaked" Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Trailer. First look at the US version starring Daniel Craig.

Hmm...looks like it is staying fairly true to the book even from the trailer.

For some reason trailer that I get looks like the original Swedish film.
This is the 2011 Fincher one:

I am so glad they make films for people who are not willing to read (even subtitles).
