Just saw this on Hunch's recommendation and I have to chip in. This movie is filled with delight. It lives up to it's tag line of being a "Japanese Noodle Western" while interrupting the core plot with episodes celebrating our diverse passions for food. It's great, silly fun.

Very funny, quite buoyant, and more than a little quirky (of course, it's a 1.Japanese 2.80s comedy). Be prepared to deal with a hankering for ramen once it's all over, though!

Make a big, perfect, delicious meal and watch this movie while you eat it. One of my all-time favorite films!

Never been to a ramen shop but this movie has set my expectations unreasonably high. I haven't seen another movie as passionate about food - Ratatouille doesn't even come close.

a bizarre Japanese 80s movie about making the perfect bowl of ramen.

has a very quirky humor, and lots of unexpected strange scenes. very memorable and fun.

i think of it every time i'm in a ramen shop.

Funny, quirky, sweet, and bizarre. An ode to the enjoying of food. Nuanced acting - the actors often say more with their faces than they do with their words.
