This can easily be used to make up a NAS setup where you just plugin an external usb-HDD. One of the most interesting features is that it is actually capably of powering an small drive (2.5" or 3.5") with it's built-in 18650 rechargeable battery. Looks like the required 100k USD funding is being met! Potentially awesome hardware.

This little box will allow for any USB storage device (flash drive, ext. hard drive, digital camera, etc...) to be given a wi-fi connection. Creates a local wi-fi network, providing wireless access to the files.
