Strange and gritty and a good story.
The backdrop of stark realism is what gets your attention and makes the movie for me. It goes a bit out of it's way to offer up the "dirt on the potato" type of realism. You're compelled to crane your neck and gawk, as you might at a car wreck.
The trailer is not compelling.
