Honestly not what I expected at all! I thought the plot would be simplistic and completely irrelevant, but that couldn't be further from the truth. It takes a little reading into, but the team from Despicable Me brought Seuss' tale to life and while I wouldn't say this to a die-hard Seuss-fanatic, the film may be even better than the source material it's based on.

A colorful, whimsical, and well-animated film with solid voice acting and infectiously upbeat musical numbers. The preachiness, a little overbearing at times, is suited for teaching young children to value the planet.
