I love articles that explain the answers to questions I've pondered. Now the next question is why? Maybe because you only have a few seconds to tell someone that there's a tiger right behind them about to spring.....
Article explains how languages can be dissected by density rich syllables and ranked. Still, the same amount of info is transmitted per minute. Not noted here but my theory is that since we don't take many breathes between words, it all runs together and any language sounds fast and indecipherable. What say you, Noam Chomsky?
