Pretty awesome and powerful idea. Kinda felt the same way...like I have no idea where to begin. Can't wait to put a little time into playing with it and seeing what happens!

Connects everything to everything (Only twitter is too dumb to understand the value of that)

For those of you with a love for If/than logic, you will LOVE how much power is packed into this website.

Not a Yahoo! Pipes killer, but a good alternative to ping.fm for socialising content or converting RSS into other formats to be actioned - weather reports, flickr pictures youtube favourites etc

This Web Application is such a wonderful tool to use. Adds some great abilities to link services and items to do something on another service. For example If I post an Instagram then make a post on twitter with the link and my desired text.

Clean, simple, powerful web app. Good stuff.

By intuitively bridging the chasm between siloed consumer internet services, IFTTT has endowed non-developers, like myself, the ability to manipulate APIs in a way previously unimaginable.

It's a great concept. Basically a "task" uses the data from one of your social network profiles, or some other feed to trigger an action e.g. every time a photo is tagged with your name on Facebook, that photo is downloaded via Dropbox (the most succesful "recipe" published by an ifttt user). Pretty hard to explain, but it just works.

The missing ingredient from web2.0 and social media. make the social internet work for you.
With so many social media out there, like social networks, social bookmarking etc. one always felt the need for something to link all of the social networks together.

Ifttt allows you to easily automate processes that otherwise would be a headache. Sign up and check out some recipes.

Automation is beautiful. Still growing and developing, but a ton of potential and worth checking out.

Great idea and implementation, so far. Almost too powerful -- so many initial combinations that you might not know where to start.

So powerful. Almost makes me forget Yahoo! Pipes.

Insanely brilliantly useful. Imagine all those annoying nags to auto-share your activity on sites but actually turned into a fully functional service where you are in control. Put the internet to work for you is exactly what this does, whether autosaving a liked GReader post to Evernote and Pinboard, or simply tweeting a beloved scrobble. (And yes, I'd like there to be a Hunch channel there asap!)

Automate task in this structure :
If <this> then <that> :
Send favorite tweets in Instapaper, send Facebook Tagged Photo in dropbox, send mail if it rains tomorrow ...

Just checked this out and it is super useful and awesome. The "if this, then that" functionality is so simple, yet so great.

This is one of my favorite web apps. "If this, then that" is an app that allows you to create tasks, rules and triggers around your favorite web apps like Facebook and Twitter.
