Klaus Nomi is truly otherworldly. His weird, bizarre, and somehow touching stage persona encompassed heavy make-up, unusual costumes, a countertenor voice and a highly stylized hairdo.
Here, he covers the 1960s pop standard "Lightnin' Strikes" by Lou Christie. If you like this check out his version of Chubby Checker's "The Twist."
+1 for being a backup signer when Bowie was on SNL in 1979.
