Although there is some bias in the choice of subjects -- why are only well-off Americans chosen and not the poor, of whom there are also plenty in the US? Why is a poor, rural Chinese child chosen and a wealthy urban child, or even a rural child from a wealthy family? -- the concept is a fascinating one and the pictures offer a glimpse into the vastly different worlds children live in.

Incredibly stark contrast between the living conditions of children from around the world, made more striking by the photographer James Mollison's choice of their bedrooms as his subject matter.

Interesting photo essay. A lot of the language used in the captions is really biased, though. Would have been nice to see a wider range. It seems like the artists chose bedrooms from only the far ends of the socioeconomic spectrum...

This is a very disturbing photo essay on the excesses of privledge and the children reaped in poverty....quite sad on all counts...definitely worth a look
