True story of the Magdalene Laundries in Ireland, and the abuse suffered by the women sentenced there, often by their families for the crime of having a child out of wedlock or just being too attractive and flirtatious, to a life of 'servitude' for their sins. Amazingly, the last one was in operation until September 25, 1996. Shocking film.
