Pretty eye opening...I had no idea it went back so far, albeit I agree, the quality of color is not exactly spot on.

The portraits of the women from the 40s working in the factories are stunning.

Color tones are too artificially vivid.
It is so implausible such technology in photography existed then.

I uber-recommend this!!! This collection of photographs are images that gives us a unique view into past lives. Most of this photographs speak volumes on scoial cultures of their time and ours. My favorite picture is the one of "Rosie the Riveter". It's a black woman, helping a war, helping a nation that is racist and sexist. I could disect this picture for hours!

Apparently Rosie the Riveter was fictional, but interestingly close to the photo here of the African Am. woman. I thought at first they intentionally changed her race for the 'campaign'. Interesting collection, didn't know they made color slides that long ago.

Uber-cool!
The colors snap, and these photographs bring the past to life (rather than being the usual dreamlike b&w visions of pre-1950 that we are used to).
Trust me, these are well worth taking a look at.
