I recently tutored college grads who did not know how to factor, did not know the multiplication tables, and could not easily reduce a fraction. O tempora, o mores! Kenken is a great game to remedy those ills, as well as sharpening aging cognitive skills. This is a site that, unlike NYT, does not require signing up or payment. Sometimes I ken, and sometimes I simply kent.
