This is a nice park in downtown manhattan overlooking the east river. I went this weekend and it was very empty!
There's astroturf and benches and hydrangeas. Its all several stories above street level, wedged in between tall office buildings on three sides.
oh, and you can watch helicopters take off!

I used to work a block away from this little park and didn't know it was even there until I spotted it from across the East River on the Promenade. Such a great idea for the area (especially the east side downtown).
