There is no better way to learn about Herzog than by reading an extensive book of thoughtfully-compiled words spoken by Herzog himself. Since he is so often misquoted, it's great to have a tome of things he actually said. One of my absolute favorite books, and the one that tends to go missing the most when I loan it to people.
