Pros: Now I see what all the fuss with the movie was about. Longer than the movie, but with a great deal more texture. I was surprised how similar both leads were in this and the movie version (which I saw first). Cons: I have seen the movie version several times and now I feel I should watch this an equal number. And I really must read the book...

This perfectly-cast miniseries brings Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice to life. In my mind it is the definitive adaptation. Good production values and historically accurate.

If you open the novel, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, you will discover that the dialogue from the movie is taken straight from the pages inside. Because it's mini-series length, it is one of the few movies I've seen that truly lines up with the book. You will fall in love with the characters in this movie-- I do, every time I watch it.

This BBC miniseries is the best adaption of Jane Austen's novel that we've seen. Colin Firth shines as Mr. Darcy!! It's long (5 hours total) but SOOO good... we recommend gathering the girls on a lazy Sunday afternoon and watching it in one sitting.
