Went to the Paris Sewer museum once by mistake. Was looking for "les catacombs" and the driver took me to "les egouts" - he didn't know what the catacombs were and my explanation in French was something like "underground tunnels dug by humans".
Must admit, was pleasantly surprised (no smells! clean! modern!) and would definitely recommend to visit if otherwise bored and in the neighborhood.
