First published in 1979, this is a great collection of Hunter S. Thompson's finest early articles, well-executed rants, and other works of note. It's a big book, one worth reading and re-reading, and it will surprise people who only know of "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas." Start with "The Temptations of Jean-Claude Killy" or the story of running for office in Aspen and then read the whole thing.
