Always had assumed Muji sold only suitcases, but went to their flagship recently and loved the store. They really a wide variety of things with the connection between them all being a superb minimalist sensibility.
Particularly loved the notebooks and storage bins. And the prices are much cheaper than I expected. Definitely worth checking out.

LOVE this store! Everything is amazingly priced... it's the first time I've seen a stationery store in the States rival those in Asia!

One of my favorite stores in NY. Great little notebooks, pens, t-shrits, and other random knickknacks - all in very cool japanese style.

someone recommended their notebooks as an alternative to moleskins. i am hooked on the graph paper version. i also use the tiny version to sketch phone interface mock-ups/paper prototypes.

Minimalism meets the new economy. Quality you can afford.

Muji is my "go to" store for simple classic humble utilitarian -yet tasteful- housewares. It's the japanese way! From the best jersey bedsheets, to desk organizers, to simple modern side tables, Muji is the place to be. They have 3 stores in NYC, they sell online, and they sell through the MoMa store.
