Hit this up over the weekend and cannot wait to go back. Incredible variety of food vendors. I stuffed my face on a gourmet burger (topped w/ homemade pickles), pulled pork sandwich and an indulgent berry-glazed doughnut. I want to bring a bag and get more packaged goods next time (I'm looking at you hipster mayonaise company).
This weekly event is a pregnant lady's dream. Tons of independent artisanal food vendors, all giving out free samples. You need scrambled eggs for 20 people? Buy an ostrich egg. A hangover remedy? Try a raspberry ginger popsicle. Hors-d'ouvres for the dinner party tonight? Pick up some freshly-made duck liver pate. Every Saturday at East River park in Williamsburg.
Cool open air market from the Brooklyn Flea organizers focused on food. Went there this past weekend and had a great time. Lots of different vendors serving great food. Also, plenty of grass and water front seating around the area to relax after stuffing your face.
There's new market opening up along the Williamsburg waterfront this summer. More than 100 vendors peddling greenmarket goods, things in mason jars, and some prepared foods. The weekly event starts on May 21. Can't wait.
