You'll have to try "Bacalhau com Broa". The portuguese food will turn you into a foodie for sure :)

Having Portuguese ancestry and surname, I've got to chime in and say it's a wonderful place. Soothing, relaxing Mediterranean climate with laid-back people.
Cons: The economy is not good right now. It's often hard to find somone who speaks English.

My home country is full of surprises. Not just beaches, good food and wine and marvellous weather, but beautiful green or rocky mountain ranges, forests, valleys and castles where you'd least expect. I live here and I still get surprised with the beauty of so many sites. Come visit us! ;)
