There are lots of things to do in Germany. You can visit very traditional areas like Bavaria or enjoy the fusion of new and old in a city like Berlin or Munich. Great food and desserts!
Cons: If you are an American visiting Germany, be aware of your actions and such because like in many foreign countries, you can be targeted. Some things can be expensive, so plan accordingly.

Good quality of life.
Good infrastructure.
Politically mature, liberal and forward-thinking.
Very good bread and sausages.
Warm summers.
Cons: Culturally not particularly diverse.
Cold winters.
