A puzzle game through a first-person perspective. Each level is it's own puzzle to solve so there's no need to necessarily concern yourself with keeping up with a storyline or plot points. Turn it on, solve a few levels, come back when you have the time for more.

The most perfect way any gamer can spend 6 hours. The mechanics are fantastic, the story is wonderful and it all culminates with the most memorable (lyrics-wise anyway) video game song in history.

A rather innovative puzzle game, Portal is fun, challenging, and at times even frustrating. The game features perhaps one of the most elegant antagonists, the ironic, sarcastic GlaDOS as well as a creative concept and physics system.

The Portal gun is the best gun ever. Limited by certain walls, but this adds more of a puzzle element. So fun puzzles! YAY.

A very fun, original game from Valve. It requires innovative thinking and precice placements when placing portals whilst already airborn. A very fun game overall, and loved by the critics. Definetly worth checking out, aswell as the second release, Portal 2.

In my opinion the best game ever since Half-Life 2. The gameplay is original and new, the puzzles are challenging and the environment and story are very well made. An absolute must.

Portal is one of those games you just have to play.

For me, it never really stood out. I always heard about it, but never went out of my way to actually play it. But after my little brother raved about it, I decided to give it a try.

OH MY GOD.

The story, game play and Companion Cube (the best thing about the game,) all add up to one of the best games I've played.

This game is very innovative and fun.

The last level drags on a bit, but other than that it's a pretty perfect game, and you learn a new skill! ...which is currently only useful in the game.

This might be the most fun single player game I’ve *ever* played. It’s like an fps puzzle game, and you get to shoot portals through walls, walk through them, and come out of another portal somewhere else with all sorts of shifting gravity awesomeness. The level designs, the music, and the creepy computer are all amazing! I’m really looking forward to the sequel. Get it for a computer on Steam.

Fantastic and challenging puzzle-game, real and somehow deep scenario, great artistic value.
Teaches us how to make a perfect puzzle game from a FPS core (Half Life 2).
Cons: Way too short !
Some levels aren't really difficult in the late stages of the game.

This game pulled me in so quick that I finished it in one sitting. Incredibly inventive gameplay with clever puzzles and great progression. The story and acting in this game are dead on too.
Cons: Watching speed runs on youtube of players completing the most complex levels in record time will make your ego shrink very quickly.
