Somewhere along the trail of my life the Red Tailed Hawk landed on top of my totem, A rather plain bird, but a great hunter.

A good population of them where I live. Can be seen in trees and on phone lines, and always a pleasure to behold.
Cons: All too often damaged by human activity.
