Sancerre's are quite delicate and hard to get just right... sounds like Jean Paul Balland is a winner!

The Sancerre is a marvelous, yet affordable Sauvignon Blanc. Was looking for a smooth and subtle S. Blanc and found one that I plan to keep around the house. special ode to /thewinehostess. This Sancerre was the #1 hit of my wine tasting with over 40 people! It is a Sauvignon Blanc made in a more subtle way than I'm used to. The acidity was crisp and yet there was a smoothness to it that made it delightful to drink. Highly recommend. Costs around $18.
