Fire-bombing a city? I would rank this up with "All Quiet On The Western Front" as being among the great anti-war books of all time.

Great book. Just finished it. It's one of those books that doesn't quite read like a typical book and has twice the impact on you.

It's short, yet packed full of more ideas than most authors manage in a lifetime. A staggering book.

Irreverent, quirky and absurd but also profound and meaningful. A Vonnegut masterpiece.

As mentioned in the summary, Ethan Hawke's reading is excellent. Vonnegut's prose is sharp, yet elegant, deal ing with the ever-present theme of time in creative ways. It's like an acid trip of words.
Cons: It's a book about war, so there is understandably quite a bit of death. So it goes.

a true classic , probably the best and most heartfelt Vonnegut book. Lost writers were influenced by Pilgrim's "unstuck in time" concept and used it for Desmond.
