The Simpson are just great. You could always rely on a Simpsons episode to get you through. Clever, originally, tons of cultural references and irreverent. What more could you want?

Not much a kids show than something parents watch with their kids (only sometimes)

Awesome characterisations, sharp satire, funny writers. Even when it's bad it's better than 95% of the rest of the television schedules.
Cons: There's no 24-hour Simpsons channel

of course in the big picture it is a great show
Cons: it needs to end i have watched all of the this season and have not laughed once. its hard not to make me laugh.

Has been on for a long time and has quite a following. Even had a movie.
Cons: As I got older, I stopped watching The Simpsons in favor of Futurama and Family Guy.

Absolutely the best animated show of all time. Definitely one of the best shows of all time. A classic. A cultural barometer. A comfort show.
Cons: There are not enough shows taking a cue from Groening's series.
