one of the most consistently funny shows. When they miss it's a shame, but when they hit it's hilarious and very clever. I don't bother watching Family Guy because this is available

Without a doubt the funniest cartoon I have ever seen. Great characters, stories, and tons of laughs; as long as you don't mind some serious crude humor at points.

As the first seasons was just plain ugly and bad quality sound, the later seasons, as in 4 or 5 and up till the newest, 15 have alot better graphics. The humour in South Park can seem offensive and vulgar, but they make sure to treat everyone with the same profanity. Except gingers. It certainly isn't for everyone, but this show has it's moments.

Great followup's on current events. It is not about good animation, but telling the story.
Cons: With this style of animation they could make tree times more episodes than they do.

Every episode is self-contained, somewhat offensive, and amazingly funny. Some have complained that it gets worse over time, but I find it has just taken on a new, funnier life since Season 6.
Cons: Go to a college campus. Every guy quotes South Park and Family Guy endlessly. I should know, I was among them.

Very funny show. Stays on top of current events, sometimes lampooning issues within weeks of their occurrence. Generally has a moral in every episode. Eric Cartman is hilarious.
Cons: Production values (particularly at the beginning of its run) are not stellar.

Funny and offensive without seeming cheap. Mocks itself and all of pop culture, the media, no one is safe.
Cons: Can be preachy if the show's viewpoint doesn't match your own, or if it dominates the entire episode and crowds out the humor.
