The later seasons have become repetitive, formulaic, and at times silly. But the first two or three seasons are definitely worth checking out.

Great fun. Mildly complex entertainment. If you like Vince Flynn, Tom Clancy, or Daniel Silva you will probably enjoy this.

Some plot turns went well beyond what I thought television drama would ever do.

apart from the somewhat gratuitous violence (I say somewhat because it does fit the show, but we just can't watch it) this was an excellent show

Simply put, it's the greatest show in cable television history. Only starts to get dull in the last two seasons.

If you've never watched the show, just watch the first episode of Season 1 and you'll be hooked.

Amazing the first few times. You can't stop watching it. But then the formula wears a bit thin by the time you have been through several series IMHO.

24 is probably the best series in the last years. Got so addicted that I wrote a thesis at the university on it. The revival of the "cliffhanger" and multi-angle storytelling. We want more!

Compelling and addictive, 24 episodes per season and just as many cliff hangers.
Cons: If Jack Bauer is such a hero, why doesn't he wear a cape? Can't really just watch one episode

Awesome storylines, interesting characters, cool action scenes, great plot twists and suspense.
Cons: Besides the fact that it's over? Extremely addicting (trust me, more of a con than a pro). And if you're not into thrillers, then this definitely isn't for you!

Incredible to watch on DVD because you always want to watch one more episode- and you can.
Cons: If you start watching 24 on DVD, you can forget about being productive for the rest of the week.

agree with pandemi- best action drama ever. season 7 is awesome!
Cons: goes downhill in seasons 5,6 but still better than other shows. season 7: a woman president??? :-P

24 is a mix of suspense and action. I really enjoyed seasons 1-6, but season 7 isn't as great as I hoped it'd be.
Cons: Since each season is 24 hours (ok, 17 actual hours w/o commercials), lots of it can become a bit repetitive.
