One of the best cooking shows ever! Alton Brown presents the science behind cooking, which I find fascinating! Plus, he's so zany and silly. I love it.

Alton Brown is the proverbial love child of Julia Childs and Mr. Wizard. You'll learn something.
Cons: Not for those who have a low tolerance for zany hijinks.

Being a guy and an engineer Hunch correctly predicts that I'm going to love this. Which is of course true.
Cons: Some people get turned off by the corny comedy that is intermixed through the show.
