Great show that ended too soon. Showing sometimes embarrassingly honest depictions of what it means to grow up while not in the "cool" crowd, the show is witty and heartfelt. You root for the characters because, if you're like me, you recognize part of yourself in them. The best of us start out as "freaks and geeks" - nothing to be ashamed of. :)

If you haven't watched this show you're really missing out, one of the best shows out there- not only is it hilarious but it has a lot of heart and you can see the writers really put a lot of their own experiences in to this show.

This is a great show! Was only cancelled cause they kept changing the time of airing. Such a shame!

own this box set and i never get tired of watching it. so funny! interesting how most of the freaks all got famous after and none of the geeks:(

favorite show! too bad it was cancelled after the first season, i would have loved to see more of the characters' lives.

Very funny, but very "real." Despite being set in a different time period in which I grew up, many of the character experiences hit way too close to home. Can watch over and over. Only one bad episode in the bunch, and the rest are near perfect.

A very funny rendition of high school life. Great acting. It's surely nothing like Belgian high schools, is this really an accurate depiction of American high school life?

Phenomenal show! First time I was introduced to Apatow's work. Really captures the angst of being a teenager, trying to fit in, and figuring yourself out.

best show ever? seriously, i'm so pissed it was only 1 season. loved the writing, loved that the actors were actually (mostly) of high school age and looked the part, and dear god loved james franco. "tuuuba girl" - if you don't know what I'm talking about, you should probably watch it.

This show is spectacular, as are it's creators Paul Feig and Judd Apatow who went on to create numerous successful projects including the recent Bridesmaids movie, released yesterday.

Hilarious show based on real-life events. Great casting (James Franco!). Believable, well rounded characters. DVD commentary is often just as hilarious as the show itself.
Cons: I can't watch just one episode at a time! Completely addictive, and my binges always end with the devastating realization that no more will ever come out of this show!

Perhaps my favorite tv show of all time. Great characters on both sides of the freak/geek divide. Blends humor with a realistic look at what being a kid is like.
Cons: Only ran for one season.

The best high school drama ever. Manages to be (really) funny and touching like no other show.
Cons: Far too few episodes; cancled too early.
