This should be terrible. A dramedy about beautiful privileged teenagers. Yet it's so original, so raw, and so heartfelt, it's unlike anything else. In some ways there's a realism like no other show has, and in other ways it's so over the top it feels like a fantasyland.
Hands-down the best teen drama on television. Describing it as being "real" wouldn't quite capture what the show has going for it. Its smart and honest about teen life in a way that is still engaging for adults. Diverse set of actors and actresses are all perfectly cast for their roles.
Shaival - the first 2 seasons are on Netflix. Beyond that, I watched every ep of the 5th season (which just wrapped) by searching for video files online. Seasons 3 and 4 I was able to see via this Brazilian fan site but MTV/the BBC shut it down after the US deal went through. :( I am sure if you search you can find them.
