Tragically short-lived! Managed to successfully fuse sci-fi and western genres (a feat). There is some solace with the film 'Serenity' end capping the two seasons. All are on Netflix streaming.

Awesome show. So sad it only lasted one season - so many questions left unanswered! I watched it because Joss Whedon's name was attached to it and I was definitely not disappointed. Funny, original characters, original storylines - insightful and sometimes creepy but always entertaining - a rarity in TV these days.

Joss Whedon what have you done, you bad bad man ;-)
I am soo very addicted to this. Found it on the net years after its cancellation by FOX, worst decision ever made on US TV. The best TV series of all times . SciFi but without aliens & lasers, but with cows, barfights, colts and horses.
You could quote any line, as they are all witty, smart & funny. Great chemistry amongst the cast. IT´S LOVE !

Even for people who don't like science fiction, this series is compelling and addictive. The characters are exceptionally well-drawn and the dialog sparkles.

Yes, at first I didn't love it. But after a couple episodes, I was hooked. But if you didn't think Buffy was funny, you won't think this is funny either.

This show is great, very typical whedon. I found that it moves at a lot slower pace than his other shows - maybe because it was one of his first? you have to watch it if you're a fan of Angel.

Phenomenal show: interesting characters, amazing chemistry, and great writing and plot. Fox's cancellation was a big mistake, the show had lots of potential and is definitely one of my favorites.

Excellent Characters and Dialogs.

Clever and action packed.

Joss Whedon did a great job writing this.
Cons: Only 14 episodes, so the story is incomplete. Very frustrating.

One of, if not the best scifi show in recent history. Fantastically written and acted with oh so much potential.
Cons: Won't have the opportunity to fulfill that potential as it was painfully cancelled after only one season. Cancellation of show is consistently considered the worst ever decision by Fox execs.

its the best sci-fi show ever made in modern times, even superior to the BSG remake. Joss Whedons best characters, best music, most brilliant ideas and best dialogue all stuffed into a space western!
Cons: besides the western theme, its cancelled after only one(!) season, it'll feel like a personal loss not having more episodes to watch, possibly spiralling you into depression and rampant alcho...

Subtle humor, great cast, introduced me to Summer Glau (raaaaawwrrrr!), become attached to the characters, indepth characters (especially Mau and Shepherd).
Cons: 1 among many of Fox's genius shows that suffered from poor marketting (e.g. Arrested Development, Sara Connor Chronicles, Doll House).

Great show! Created by the ever creative Joss Whedon. I really liked the title song, its very country which isn't my type but it gets stuck in your head soo easily! Come on! A space western! Awesome!
Cons: Only lasted 1 season. The Reavers were creepy, especially in one episode. Despite what others say I really didn't like Serenity except for River.
