All Stargate series are good, but this one is the most epic.

Much more than stereotypical "sci-fi" this show was about people and their choices as they are put into incredible situations. Partially about survival and partially about discovery of the unknown, this was the best of all Stargate franchise productions. Gritty, dark, witty, and powerful, it will amaze and entertain!

I have not watched any previous Stargate series but I do not feel lost. This is a great dramatic series. My current favorite on TV. Great cast, great plot, right balance of action/drama/character
Cons: Moving the show to Tuesday night was a tough one for me, but don't know that it is an actual "Con". I don't have any problems with the show and I hope it survives a couple of more season.

Outstanding SciFi show. It is flat out the best there is on tv right now.
Cons: End of the first season was killer. Could end up going flat quickly if they dont watch the quality.

Great serial gritty space drama, fans of Battlestar Galactica will enjoy. And it has Robert Carlyle.
Cons: Not like other shows of the Stargate franchise, which were more episodic and light-hearted. Die-hard fans of the old series may be disappointed.
