Sherlock Holmes is endlessly entertaining. A timeless classic applicable to our times, as the new PBS incarnation shows. Doyle is excellent

Don't wait until you're 30 to read Sherlock like I did. You will zip through them like a box of Red Vines at the movies.
Cons: There aren't enough Sherlock stories. And most of these modern pastiches suck.

I love the Sherlock Holmes stories. He has a very easy-to-read style of writing.
Cons: I have yet to read Professor Challenger.
