The protagonist is a sweet-faced angel wrongly framed. She stays sweet till the end. The stark cinematography combined with the blunt manipulation made for a memorable film.
Unlike other revenge films, the gore actually fades into the background here. Raw human emotion takes centre stage behind the subtle pokerface maintained by the lead. It is both disturbing yet in a warped logic, justifiable.
