One of the most quotable and re-watchable movies of all time. The movie that launched Jack Black's career (and in my opinion, really, his only good performance).

An engaging film and novel which constantly breaks the fourth wall communication between viewer and cast.

Centered around Rob Gordon's (coincidently my name hah) relationship with on and off girlfriend Laura and subsequently all relationships preceding this with a sombre and dry attitude, which often leaves you agreeing with his not so romantic view that is often too easy to relate too.

First off, I must admit that for some reason John Cusack can ramble on about anything and I'll listen. I don't know why. High Fidelity is a fantastic book, and great as a movie. It is the ultimate break-up/relationship movie for men (and some women). It's very no-nonsense, comical & entertaining guide at how we love and sometimes lose the ones we care about the most (with incredible music!).

GREAT story, great music, great characters.
Cons: Somewhere over the last half hour (arround the time of the death) it's not as good as the rest.
