The Smiths are a great band. Morrissey's genius lyricism, combined with Johnny Marr's intricate guitar work provides the basis for amazing songs and humorous lyrics.

Lyrics and vocals alternately showcase brooding, razor's edge emotion and a dark wit. This is offset by bright, jangly, layered guitar work and a crackerjack rhythm section.
Cons: You'll love them or you'll hate them.
