The Grateful Dead are Americana to the core, folk, rock, jazz, spontaneous improsation, prodigious players with a sense of humor and intellect. Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.

Great lyrics, phenomenal musicians. There is no other band out there whose fans will make you feel more like part of a family.
Cons: Long instrumental sections (jams) aren't for everybody.
