Wow. Where do I begin? If you like your notes served decidedly on key then you may want to stop now. If you can appreciate an overwhelming intensity of angst, love and sorrow being puked all over you, then you will love, no, cherish this album. It's worth noting that the lyrics are intertwined with the feigned heart-wrenching unrequited affections for Anne Frank.

In An Aeroplane Over The Sea was one of the best records of all time and the title track is one of my favorite musings about death and life.

Extremely powerful, thought-provoking lyrics grunted into a microphone by someone with a bad cold, while a singing saw is played in the background. My favorite band.

Pure emotion. Sure his voice isn't good but at least he's able to convey a message to listeners.

one of the best elephant six bands. oddly beautiful lyrics. the entire approach is emotionally and harmonically oblique.
Cons: not good for people who resist a challenge. and those people get offended and lazy and just write the band of as being pretentious.

There is something pure and authentic about these songs--and they sound good.
Cons: Too much for some gentle souls.
